館林市観光ガイド･Welcome to Tatebayashi

Welcome to TATEBAYASHI which is said to be the hottest town in Japan! The lake (JYONUMA) in the midsummer has its lotus leaves spread all over in green. In a sun shine, the lotus flowers with pink color looks awesome. A cool breeze is felt in the whole body while taking a boat-ride through the leaves of the lotuses.

Not only the scenic view in front of us was available, we came to learn of more lotus culture through the description of the volunteer guide, such as, an interesting way to drink with lotus leaves and roots.
