Morinji Temple
There is a "Magic Badger kettle" legend that says, “no matter how much hot water you swallow, it will never run out”. In the Morinji, there is another saying that, “who will not suffer from diabetes to moisten the throat in hot water from the kettle and will possess a virtue of civil and military”. This can make fear disappear for things and increase the wisdom. It serves people with charm and bring good luck to their career. Their life will be long”. In addition, due to the legend that this kettle was garbled by a raccoon, the temple is decorated with numerous images of raccoons.
A natural monument, Morinji swamp, designated by the prefecture is located in the north of this temple and it has become a habitat of wetland plants such as skunk cabbage. Sometimes swans can be seen flying during winter. In addition, it is possible to look over the widely spreading wetlands from winter to spring. It has become a recreation site for local residents.
